A) Laser hair therapy is a therapeutic means of stimulating hair growth using “cold,” or “soft” laser technology. Cold laser technology was originally used to treat wounds that would not respond to other therapies. During treatment, it was discovered that not only did the laser beam stimulate healing of the wound, but the body hair in the treated area grew thicker and longer then in the untreated area. In 2007 the FDA "cleared" the first laser hair therapy device to stimulate hair growth and stop the progression of hair loss.
